Overview

Falah ("the App") is a free Islamic companion application created by Falah. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.

Data Collection

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. Specifically:

• No account required — You do not need to sign up or log in.
• No personal information collected — We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any other personal identifier.
• No analytics or tracking — The App does not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any third-party tracking tools.
• No advertising — The App contains no ads and no ad-tracking SDKs.

Local Storage

The App stores your preferences and progress locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This includes:

• Bookmarked duas and Quran ayahs
• Read/unread status and reading progress
• Quran last-read position
• Tasbeeh counter values and lifetime totals
• Prayer reminder preferences
• Selected city for prayer times
• Selected Quran reciter
• Theme preference (dark/light mode)
• Font size settings
• Language preference (Pashto/English)

This data never leaves your device. It is not synced to any cloud service or shared with anyone. Clearing your browser data will remove this stored information.

Location Data

The App may request access to your device's location only for the following features:

• Prayer Times — To calculate accurate prayer times for your location.
• Qibla Direction — To show the direction of the Qibla from your current position.

Location data is processed entirely on your device. It is not sent to any server or stored beyond the current session. You can deny location access and the App will continue to function — you can manually select your city instead.

Audio

The App streams Quran recitation audio from the Al Quran Cloud API and dua recitation audio from hosted sources. Audio is played directly on your device. No audio data is recorded, stored, or transmitted from your device.

Prayer reminder sounds (Adhan recordings and notification tones) are stored locally within the app and do not require any network connection to play.

Third-Party Services

The App loads the following resources from third-party services:

• Al Quran Cloud API (alquran.cloud) — For Quran text, translations, and audio recitation. No user data is sent to this service.
• Google Fonts — For Arabic and display typography (Amiri, Noto Naskh Arabic). Google's privacy policy applies to font loading.
• Adhan.js (via jsDelivr CDN) — For prayer time calculations. This is an open-source library loaded client-side. No user data is shared.

No personal or usage data is shared with any of these services.

Notifications

The App may request permission to send notifications for prayer time reminders. You can enable or disable notifications at any time through the App's settings or your device settings. No notification data is sent to any external server.

Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages. It does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
